Iran Group of Surveyors, one of the members of Experts Group, was established in 1980 as the first entirely Iranian company to begin work in the area of ship and cargo inspections in Iran.  It is a private company and has been registered as such and it also has been developing and expanding its activities during all these years.  At present the company offers its services in quality and quantity inspections of solid and liquid cargoes, including oil and gas products as well as industrial inspections including supervision over building of industrial equipment, cranes and other lifting devices, oil and gas industries, industrial plants and factories, onshore and offshore installations, inspection of ships and cargoes for assessment of damages sustained by them in various accidents and incidents etc. Presently IGS has about 100 employees of various areas of expertise and some operation centers in the ports of Bandar Abbas, Bandar Imam, Kharg Island and Neka, thus playing a crucial role in providing inspection services to the domestic industries. Furthermore, working in cooperation with Inspectorate Iran, which is another member of Experts Group and is also a joint venture between IGS and Inspectorate England, has enabled IGS to provide the highest quality of inspection services across the globe according to the needs of clients.
