1. For which products is a COI certificate required?

A COI (Certificate of Inspection) is required for products that are subject to mandatory standard regulations. According to the laws and regulations of the National Standard Organization of Iran, it is necessary to obtain a COI certificate for these products to ensure compliance with national standards.

2. What documents are required to initiate a commodity inspection request?

To begin a commodity inspection request, the following documents are required:

Order registration, Proforma invoice, Inspection request including information on the inspection time, location and scope of the inspection.

3. Is it possible to obtain a COI certificate at the destination?

Yes, it is possible to obtain a COI certificate at the destination if you receive a work referral letter from the Standard Organization of the relevant province where the goods enter. This letter can be submitted to the inspection company, allowing the feasibility of obtaining the COI certificate at the destination.

4. How can we obtain the list of products subject to mandatory standards?

The list of imported products subject to mandatory standard regulations can be obtained on the website of the National Standard Organization of Iran at www.inso.gov.ir. You can find this information in the "Organizational Databases" section, under the "Exports and Imports" subsection, which lists the products under the supervision of the National Standard Organization of Iran.

5. What types of products can IGS inspect?

IGS is proud to hold certifications for 20 out of the 22 areas of commodity conformity assessment from the National Accreditation Center.
