Pre-shipment inspections and conformity assessments of imported consignments are among the primary activities of IGS. Imported goods and equipment are inspected at the origin, prior to loading and transportation by various means (ship, container, train, etc.) to verify their quantity, quality, packaging, and accompanying documentation. These inspections, conducted during production, storage, or before delivery to the buyer, ensure that the goods comply with the Letter of Credit (LC), purchase order, agreed contract specifications, and the packing list of goods. If required, photographs or videos of the inspection process are taken, and a detailed inspection report is prepared. Certificates are issued in accordance with the approved formats of the Iranian National Standards Organization.
